Singer/songwriter Larry Brown lives in the great city of Chicago and has been playing locally and nationally for over two decades. Some of the artists he has shared the stage with are Gavin Degraw, The Spin Doctors, Liquid Soul, and The Jayhawks, to name a few. Brown’s voice has been compared to Ray Lamontagne, Amos Lee and an extremely hung-over Van Morrison. Some of his primary influences include, Stevie Wonder, Eliot Smith, Otis Redding and Greg Allman. Some notable achievements are winning Jim Beam’s B.E.A.M. cash grant, promoting emerging music and playing showcase: Jim Beam Backroom Session hosted by WXRT’s Richard Milne. One of Larry’s singles: “Answer in her Heart”, has charted in commercial applications and has been played over 500,000 times worldwide. Brown’s latest batch of songs were recorded in Nashville in 2020. He lives in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago.
